When you enter into a business or service, right there are the promises of the owner, manager or the people in charge and at work. If these same people use marketing and advertising, then it will be suggested or promised ahead of time as to what one can expect as they come toward the offering. Keeping a promise makes the system go full circle as represented. Break that promise and it all breaks down

BELIEVING

When dealing with individuals face to face, if it comes to the point where your word has to be given either by suggestion or outfight verbatim, then this is how we agree to begin with each other. The agreement is defined and the parties carry out what was agreed to full cycle or completion. Easy-peasy

WHAT DRIVES IT

An oath is the underlying power behind all representation of product or services. It is not a formal, serious oath where one swears necessarily, but instead a clearly implied one leaving no misunderstanding allowing for action to take point and the consumer to receive the promise.

SEND & RECEIVE

You have consumers, literally people who want, and people who supply that want or need. A signal is sent and received, then sent back by the interested party and the first phase is at work. The following phase is the fulfillment or final exchange known as the point of sale. This is not complex

EXAMPLE OF TAINTED PROMISE

I saw a large sign for smog check. It spoke to my understanding and acceptance allowing me to pull into the place of business. Message sent & received. I go to inquire further and what comes out is the sign is in error but for a good reason. The law changed is what I was told. The begging question appears....

COMMON SENSE CONSULTED

Why then is the sign still up? Well, we haven't had a chance to take it down is the answer. Now in every human being on this planet bar none, is a system that works without prompting if one doesn't outsource it or deny it. It is called common sense. Why would you have a sign up when it should be down?

SOUNDS FISHY?

The smell of fish fills the air. I didn't come here for fish. How could anyone proceed further when the first promise has failed? The second chance to make a first impression holds and rules. There is no second chance. In the world of promises, this is a lost cause looking for someone to find it. I pass!

IT IS or IT IS NOT

There are strict rules in place regarding advertising, representing and doing business or services and how leaving no room for shadow or gray area. The nature of every activity, organization & game is defined by the rules. Playing with the rules changes the nature of what is or suggested to be in play

ACTION NOT TALK

Less rules the better and the closer to the what you see is what you get is good. I am always leery of long explanations, excuses, stalling tactics or lack of response when it comes to goods and services. Consumers are well named. They consume! Feeding them product or services is not complex if real

THE WORD FREE

Free literally means without cost, obligation or restraint. Think: the air is free. When "free" enters into the marketplace, it bothers me. The very nature of commerce is trade. It doesn't work on free but instead an exchange of values. I give for your give. Your want, for a price, is supplied for a promise

 PERSONAL... the world of persons

In another realm, even more important than the commercial one is the personal one where one person gives another their word. You cannot be a friend, lover, neighbor or random person at large if your word means nothing. It is the true coin of the realm of people. Some spend this foolishly or not at all

SHAME ON WHO?

People who have hidden agendas or ulterior motives play in the shadows with this subject. They have no honor, their character is lacking, and their poverty of spirit is made known. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me is the rule. Once we know, we must act on it. They hope you don't!

ON GUARD!

Getting stung is hard to forget but we must. When a person has had their trust violated, they tend to resent the episode because the strong pull of temptation to do so goes to work. That is a fatal by-product of the failed action. It is the poisonous air that follows the nefarious deed. Do not breath this in! Pass!

CREDIBILITY

This is more valuable than gold. The very essence of who you are without you saying a word because the evidence of it is coming out of your pores, is self-evident and believable chasing away hesitation, doubt and all confusion without any effort. That is how powerful credibility is. What drives it...?

THE TRUTH

The glue of the Universe. The core of all righteousness and the sustaining power, TRUTH defines itself and also has the last word giving it the first word as well. In a world where there is nothing but TRUTH, there is literally nothing else. Why? TRUTH ...is...was, and will always be the default standard

THE PROMISE

The reward from joining what is right, fair and just is beyond words and values. Now that is a promise
