I get a ton of emails asking me to keep this link active for my BPO and REO list that I sell on Ebay. Before you write to me to tell me that you can get free vendor lists online, YES, I already know that. But the people who purchase my list buy it for the convenience of having 173 alphabetized vendors with working hyperlinks and four pages of instructions and definitions. I sell enough to know it's working so please no emails educating me on free lists on the internet. Been there, rejected that.
My current success with the list and the vendors is a home run. BPOs still outnumber REOs, which isn't a surprise. For newcomers to BPOs and REOs, please do pay your dues with the BPOs. It's many times how you get assigned REOs. There is no magic potion to getting REOs assigned to you. I get another ton of emails from people who only want REOs and say to me, "keep your BPOs, thank you very much." But that's not how it works, at least in my San Diego market.
Some vendors are merely BPO vendors. Or you'll hear the term "BPO mill" which I hate. Each BPO I do I have been paid for -- maybe I am lucky to have had no problems getting the checks. But I consider my finished product perfection and most are paid off within 30 days. There is no "mill" mentality here: If I signed up to do BPOs and I get one, then it's done and done right. And I am happy to do the next one.
REOs in my market have historically been assigned to the agents you'd never think do any business. People you NEVER hear of. But quietly they're in the background working this market hard core. They're not the glamour girls and guys. They're the work horses of real estate and God Bless America for them.
If you're a hard worker with a digital camera, a good sense of appraisal and an even better sense of typing reports under a deadline, this is for you.

It's on Ebay and it's $15.
By the way, it's a great day if you read The Secret!
Enjoy -- be well.

I have been inquiring to be on the banks lists and receive emails saying that they have enough agents right now. Are you saying that these banks will work with agents who are want to become a BPO or REO agent?
