You've all probably received the letter from the Village announcing that 826 Locust is slated for demoliton and that construction will begin soon. That means another letter will be coming soon for the second house. . .
As for the rest of Hubbard Woods, the numbers below will show what is happening in the North Shore. Not just here, but also in Wilmette, Kenilworth, Northfield, and Glencoe. Many more new listings than sales - in the case of Hubbard Woods, 13 listings and 5 closed sales. The 13 new listings do not include the 4 that were on the market last year and relisted this year in April.
Other parts of the country, even Evanston and Chicago, have a strong seller's market. We are decidedly in a buyer's market with too much inventory - as you all know because of the abundance of For Sale signs.
