The grass is greener in Central Ohio … and it’s not from the rain!

The Columbus Board of Realtors has launched an impressive new campaign to combat the negative media attention the “real estate market” is getting.

The campaign is built upon 7 Core messages the Columbus Board of Realtors wants the public to know about the real estate market in Central Ohio

  • Central Ohio’s housing market is healthy and stable.
  • For most buyers, it’s a great time to buy.
  • Low interest rates are playing a vital role in keeping our market strong.
  • Don’t wait too long if you like a great deal.
  • There are many reasons to be optimistic
  • Talk to those who know the market best. (Consult a Realtor today!)
  • Homeownership will always be a good investment.

Keller Williams Capital Partners is fortunate to have had 3 of our agents chosen as ambassadors, by the Columbus Board of Realtors, for the campaign.  In our monthly office meeting today Sue Lusk-Gleich of the Columbus Team and Gloria Cannon our productivity coach both spoke to the agents about the campaign and why it’s important to get the word out about the positive local real estate market.  By arming ourselves with facts and statistics we are able to better inform our clients of why it’s a good time to buy and make them feel more at ease with investing in Central Ohio real estate.

Some of the talking points to use when talking to the public about purchasing property in Central Ohio are:

  • Columbus is the 7th most affordable place to live according to an October 2007 report by Forbes.
  • Columbus is the 3rd most stable housing market  according to a study conducted in late 2007 by Forbes and MoodysEconomy.com.
  • Columbus is affordable – according to the National Association of Realtors, the average price of homes sold in our market in 2007 was $172,531 – compared to a national average of $218,900.
  • The Central Ohio housing market has reported a 40% increase in home prices over the past decade, and the positive trend is expected to continue.

So, if you haven’t seen the billboards, heard the radio ads, or seen Realtors walking around with “The Grass is Greener Here” buttons, visit the website www.columbushousingfacts.com and learn why the grass is greener in Central Ohio.  You can also listen for the radio spots this week on local radio stations WLVQ (96.3FM), WNCI (97.9FM), and WSNY (94.7FM).

If you would like one of the Keller Williams Capital Partners ambassadors for this campaign to speak with a group you belong to or teach you how to best speak to your group or clients please feel free to contact them.  You can reach Sue Lusk-Gleich, Gloria Cannon, or Brian Kemp at 614-888-1000.

Columbus is great and so is the market!  Don't tell our agents the market is bad...they are out their hitting the streets and this campaign has made it a lot easier to get the word out about how great Columbus is!
