CyberProfessionals Conference
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
April 28, 2008

Some 30 CyberProfessional Realtors are gathered in Pittsburgh, spread out along tables set in a large U-shape with lots of cords as well as wifi connections. Each of us have 15 minutes to speak to the group on what's new, what's working, what's not working. Most of us are eager for new ideas to supercharge out businesses.

Most of us, also, multitask. Next to me, Bob Carney is using his photo to take a picture. Kristal Kraft, also taking pictures, is more obvious, as she's using a digital SLR with long lenses. Some of us are double teaming, taking pictures of people taking pictures. Many of us are blogging.

Brainpower is draining, so we've been eating a lot as well, from breakfast and lunch that are part of the conference, to voluntary dinners together afterwards. Never tired of talking about real estate and technology, after dinner groups gather in the lounge - some drinking, some not, but all talking and listening.

Some of the veteran CyberProfessionals have attended two meetings a year since 1995! Some are here for their first meeting. We've really become a family.

Sharon, let us know what is new from this meeting. Maybe in six months you can offer to come to New Orleans. the weather in October is perfect for any outing. If so let me know and I will point ya'll in the right direction.

This has been a wonderful event thus far...yes the food has been great too.  As you can see by my profile, I don't miss many buffet tables.

Thank you Linda Davis for the invite.   The members are top notch and full of superb information.

That is a great capture! I think I saw the picture Bob was taking  :) haha.

Sounds like a fun time. I still haven't been to a meeting where everyone is plugged in. It's hard to imagine it's an "ok" thing to do - but I think it is!!!! I love it!

Frank - thanks for the suggestion. We were actually in New Orleans in November 2006 for our meeting. Search the Active Rain files for Cyberprofessionals New Orleans and you can learn of our adventures, from being chased by a mouse to interviewing a mime.

Bob - remember Tim Kinzler's talk when they pass around the next bag of candy.

Kim - this is an unusual meeting - we're allowed, nay, encouraged, to do business, we generally wear jeans, we snack and drink while listening to the speakers, we multitask, and we have a lot of fun.

Bob - is that Morse code?

Hi Sharon, I was pleased to read your post and look for the other things that you will share from the gathering. I checked out Bob Carney and subscribed to his AR blog. He seems to be very impressive with his perspective and his talents. This one resource alone is quite valuable. Many Thanks, I will watch for more musings of your conference.

Sharon - to me, it looks like everyone there had a great time. I guess we did not see you since you were taking the picture? Thanks for sharing.

I had never heard of this group, CyberProfessionals, until your last post, Sharon. I think it's wonderful you're able to get together with a group of your peers year after year for such positive support.

Sharon, And I thought you were busy taking notes today but you were taking photos and blogging. What a great group!  You really captured Bob!

Frank - I'm glad to hear that. New Orleans has been my daughter's favorite city to visit and she had many friends there.

William - it's been an exhausting two days - will take a little decompression to evaluate it all.

Susan - that's right.

Debbie - these CyberProfessionals are meetings that we look forward to every year.

Margaret - I love the fact that at the CyberProfessional conferences we CAN take photos, blog and do business while listening to the many ideas offered.  It was wonderful seeing you again and having the chance to meet Lee.

 Sharon,

Arrived back in Baltimore after being on the road for 4 1/2 hours. This was such a wonderful conference, so much good information, so many good friend and new friends.

So glad you finally met Lee. He really enjoyed meeting so many of the CP's at the two dinners.

I will be blogging soon. Better unpack first.

Loved being with you and Tami. You two are to be admired. Thanks for all you shared!

Eating a lot is an understatement!  Someone talked about how far or long one has to exercise to burn off calories.  Thus my decision to walk home to Denver, Colorado!  :)

kk

P.S. Thank goodness for mobile phones, I can blog/walk!

04/30/2008 08:12 PM by Kristal Kraft ~ Denver Real Estate (The Berkshire Group Realtors)

Margaret - great post. I commented on it after I read it. Looking forward to the next installments.

Kristal - It was Tim Kinzler who suggested we compute "miles per bite" or "hours per bite".  I'm not sure even walking to Denver or St Petersburg would burn off all we ate there!

05/01/2008 11:45 AM by Sharon Simms St Pete Florida CRS CIPS CLHMS (RE/MAX Metro)

Yes, It was Tim Kinzler who about burning off the calories with exercise.  You are right, our food consumption was on overload for sure.  I did enjoy the goodies dipped in chocolate. That was a memorable dessert.

Tim Kinsler was a great inspiration with his presentation......almost made me skip the chocolate at the Melting Pot.

Kristal and Margaret - and his presentation was just before lunch with those scrumptious brownies!

05/02/2008 05:14 PM by Sharon Simms St Pete Florida CRS CIPS CLHMS (RE/MAX Metro)

Sharon, They looked so good but ....I skipped those scrumptious brownies because of Tim.

05/02/2008 08:26 PM by Margaret Rome- Baltimore, Md.-HomeRome.com (TREC-Sell Your Home With Margaret Rome)

Talk about inspiration - one listing sold and got another one the same day since returning from the meeting.  Think we can do these a little more frequently?

05/03/2008 05:15 AM by Ed DeChristopher, CRS©,Fredericksburg VA (RE/MAX Supercenter)

Ed, Now that's inspiration!

Did you tell AR about your new listing?

Hope you get the right buyer soon and that your transaction is a smooth one!

05/03/2008 05:24 AM by Margaret Rome- Baltimore, Md.-HomeRome.com (TREC-Sell Your Home With Margaret Rome)

Ed - glad to hear of your success! Keep it up.

Margaret - Tami is my taster. She tastes the bread, dessert, etc to tell me if it's worth it. The bread (sandwiches) wasn't worth it, but she said the brownie was, so I had one.

05/03/2008 05:01 PM by Sharon Simms St Pete Florida CRS CIPS CLHMS (RE/MAX Metro)

Sharon, What a great thing to delegate....your own personal taster. After hearing her comment, I almost had one.

Barbara-Jo - I was delighted when a friend told me about the group several years ago. It's a small enough group to be "family" and with only one agent per market area, there's lots of sharing.
