Let's get on board to applaud this great man who found something useful to do with his time all for the love of homeless dogs! Don't these dogs look happy? This 80 year old man from Fort Worth, Texas is truly special and I think the dogs will see to it that he enjoys the rest of his life too!
Many years ago, I heard dog spelled backwards is god. I believe all dogs have a purpose in life; yet some people don't see it that way and they abandoned them. This past Sunday I went to the 2016 Greyhound Adoption League Birthday party and had a great time. I am grateful that my friend Jane allows me to stay with her pets when she travels with her husband. It gives me a chance to spend quality time with her great pets who are in many ways kinder than people.
In past years I paid a lot of attention to the greyhounds; this year I paid more attention to the people who adopted greyhounds and brought them into their lives. This time, I looked deeply into their eyes. They all had one thing in common - contentment! They had a peaceful look upon their face, kind, and very respectful towards animals and people. As for the greyhounds, they were calm, well taken care of, very well mannered (better than most children), and polite around people. I'm convinced, the best loyalty on earth exists between dogs and their owners.
“You see, sometimes in life, the best thing for all that ails you has fur and four legs.”
― Mark J. Asher, All That Ails You: The Adventures of a Canine Caregiver
This post is dedicated to my friend Jane and her husband Bruce. They allow me the privilege to receive unconditional love from their beloved pets.
