One older couple came through as they are shopping to replace their current home that just received a new FEMA reset on the Flood Insurance ...$10,000/year!!!! Simply crazy!  I am sure you will see this now that Houston had all that flooding.

Bill Roberts The problem is many of these folks experiencing this shock, have lived in their homes for a decade or more with no flooding experience. Many are on fixed incomes; where do they go?

The FEMA Commissioner merely has his 'experts' read a flood plain map and make these decisions from a desk without any recourse from those affected.

No sense in many ways. I do understnad the statement you made, but there must be some level of compromise.
