Is something in your way?

Do you ever get that feeling like something is always in your way of success and happiness?  Well maybe there is something or some one in your way.  I love the following quote because some days it really hits home for me.

As long as a man stands in his own way, everything seems to be in his way

By Ralph Waldo Emerson

I know that in my life when things start to look bad then that is when I step in the way to guard myself from failure or fear.  But what is failure or fear?  It is something that is made up in our minds.

I was training a new agent and one of the first things that I told him was that his mind was going to be his worst enemy and that he needed to learn to control his thoughts.  I think that at first he thought I was nuts, but now I know he understands what I mean.  We tend to get in our own way too much.

I know that in my life I am always trying to get out of the way and let things happen.

Like I've said on some other post, if you haven't seen the movie "The Secret" get a copy as soon as you can and watch it completely in one sitting and it will change your live and your business.

Attitude is everything...the attitude that the media approaches real estate with has influenced some buyers and sellers in markets across the country. Real estate is local after all...buyers and sellers are different everywhere. We have to approach every day as a new one...a new opportunity...sounds like Pollyanna...maybe...but the alternative never got anyone career success.
