UPDATE: I discovered a few more worthy (in my opinion) of checking out!
You don't have to leave the mountain to get a good meal! I know, I've tried most restaurants here... So, I thought I would share MY favorites. The order doesn't mean a thing. I love them all equally. These are ALL family places--BRING the kids!
- PAPAGAYOS Mexican Restaurant and Cantina (great food and they make a mean margarita)--in The
Village in the BIG round-ish building. 909-337-9529
- Razzbearies Bakery--oh so yummy muffins (the kind that'll give you a muffin top tummy) ...in The lower Village) RAZZBEARIES
- BELGIAN WAFFLE WORKS, INC (best waffles in the west--probably the world). Also on the menu, GREAT salads and sandwiches. Lakeside in The Village. 909-337-5222
- BILL'S Villager Coffee Shop; down to earth atmosphere and good old-fashioned food (in Blue Jay). 909-337-9069
- Cheeky Monkey Cafe, in The Lake Arrowhead Village. They have yummy coffee, bake items and sandwiches!
- Robeks Juice: Smoothies, of course and special tea drinks. In the lower Lake Arrowhead Village.
- The Tea Exchange: This place has wonderful gifts and TEAS for the tea drinkers, and baked items and smoothies. You can shop for pots or stop to sip a spot of tea. Located in The Lake Arrowhead Village.
- Papaya Thai Cuisine (The Village). Service is sometimes slow, but food the is GREAT! 909-336-5222

Kathy,
Thanks for sharing the eatery tips! Have you tried that pasta place in Blue Jay? Just curious, because I pass it coming into town all the time but have never tried it. I have gone to Papaya Thai Cuisine and it is very good. Of course when I am hungry I am pretty easy to please, So please don't hold me to it, I am not a food critic by far. I also did not get up to see the Dogwoods this weekend, so I am shooting to try and attempt it again this coming weekend. Thanks for the food tips, I plan on trying Bill's Coffee Shop, next time around, I have never tried it, so I will keep you posted as to how that goes.
