There have been several posts in recent days regarding commissions, and splits, in the 'Rain - and a plethora (don't you just love that word!) of them over the years.
My understanding is that one has to be very cautious when having these "discussions" with other brokers - mentioning specific numbers is a "no-no" at a Federal level (and please - this is not a "political" post - it's a "legal" post).
And one must be very, very careful of how one discusses the commission topic with Sellers - it's always negotiable - and to imply otherwise can result in a boatload of trouble IF someone files a complaint.
So I wasn't surprised to receive an email yesterday from the Arizona Association of REALTORS announcing a 6 hour, 6 credit, continuing education class, on the following topic:
