Car Saga Continues in KATY TX
Unfortunately our car repair saga is continuing. I need to once again tell everyone what happened as some folks might not have read my other posts. Back on February 18, 2016 our new car was smashed into at a high rate of speed by a young women who was probably sending a text. Our car was parked in front of our home. The car was towed away to a collision shop owned by the parent company of the dealership where we bought our car. I thought they would be the best place and they would use original parts and not after market junk from China.
Our car was supposed to be ready at numerous various dates including the end of March. There has been about 6 different completion dates which all have been missed for numerous supposed excuses. Yesterday was another in this long strip. I spoke to the shop and emailed them several times. I could have arranged my own out of pocket expense transportation to this shop but this required advance notice. Last Email I received said yesterday after lunch I would hear from them. Of course I heard nothing and as I was leaving my office at around 5 PM I called. The person I have been dealing with was naturally was gone for the day.
The person I spoke with was not familiar with our car. He said he would check and could call me back. I found out several minutes later that once again the incorrect parts were ordered. There now has been two instances that we know of where delays happened due to their errors. There are probably several more we are not aware which occurred. You have got be be kidding me. Another screw up. The young women's insurance company being Allstate cut off our rental car on April 4, 2016 with some total nonsense reason. Beware of Allstate car insurance is my opinion. I will address these folks in other posts.
Of course I will nail the repair shop via reviews and on as much social media as I can once our car is out of their hands. I will reveal the shop and owners at a future point in time. We have told them we want a loaner car from the dealership at no cost to us and then they can take their sweet time fixing it. If they refuse, I will be contacting management in several organizations as the dealership is owned by a franchisee. We will then have to retain attorney who will do our talking at a much higher price than what it is right now! I suspect the US parent company will not be happy about what I will say. This shop is also an authorized repair facility for another major car company and I know the US parent will be very unhappy with this kind of performance. Jus sayin..
What a mess and we were the innocent victims.
