ActiveRain: The Gift That Keeps on Giving
Sometimes words cannot describe what ActiveRain means to me.
Jason Crouch shares with us about a special gift.
ActiveRain: The Gift That Keeps on Giving
I rarely seem to find the time or inspiration to blog much these days, although it's not from a lack of desire. I simply have a hectic life right now, with four kids (two teenagers, two "little" kids), a ministry, church stuff, and, oh yeah, I have a brokerage to run and buyer and seller clients to help.
Additionally, it's NFL football season, and even though my team is very unlikely to make a Super Bowl run (20 years and counting), it is the only sport I follow, so there's that.
Well, enough excuses.
Here I am, and I want to share something that may inspire you.
Even though I probably haven't been considered a regular contributor on AR for several years, I still get referrals from my friends here, and I still have clients who find my profile.
Let that sink in for a minute.
The content I wrote here is still bringing me business, and with relative frequency.
Today, I met with someone that was referred to me by an AR member whom I had the pleasure of meeting back in 2009. It will be a $525-575K sale in the next couple of months. The picture to the right above is a house I showed yesterday to this client.
There is really no need to belabor the point. Blogging pays dividends. I never would have had the opportunity to meet my AR friend if I hadn't been a very active blogger back in 2007 - 2008.
I have said this before, but it was probably at least a year ago when I last mentioned it:
Do not limit yourself to business posts. Those have merit, no doubt, but so do posts about your interests, family, local events, and pretty much anything you are comfortable posting.
Do not limit yourself.
This year alone, I have made $21,000+ just by sending referrals to friends I met here. I can confidently tell my clients that I can find a good agent ANYWHERE in the country for them. In pretty much any major market, I have friends now. Some of them I only know through text and phone calls. Others, I have met in person. Either way, it makes the process much easier, and it's a good source of additional income, AND I have happy clients. It's a win-win-win.
Mix and mingle. Write a lot. You can thank me later. :)
