Active Rain has made it possible for other AR members to follow each other by simply hitting the "Follow" button, but those consumers, who are not members need a way to subscribe to your AR Blog if they choose to. One way to do this was to provide a way by email subscriptions.
That was the main reason for my question, "Do You Have an alternative for Google's Feedburner"? I was aware that Wordpress has plug-ins that will meet this need. When you Google the information on the Internet, you'll find some interesting comments by other Geeks. Here is one link that I just found online by Kevin Muldoon, 15 Alternatives to Feedburner.
Email subscriptions has been one solution for keeping your followers informed on all your latest posts. I setup the one in my Active Rain signature block back in 2011 by using a Feedburner by Google. Google no longer supports Feedburners, and many have sought alternatives to replace the RSS feeds to their subscribers.
James Parsons published an article last year about "Our Review and Breakdown of Every Feedburner Alternative". These vary in content and price, so you'll have to decide which one will fit your needs. Therefore, I have been strongly considering, "Subscribe 2" as an email subscription source. Of course, as you can see they are several others available, and the majority are Wordpress Plug-ins.
Sam Shueh recommened this WordPress Plug-in for those who use Feedburners.
