I went down to Dallas last week to the Buffini and Company sales training event with several other associates and the broker from our office.

Hadn't been to one of these before.  All I can say is, "WOW.  I should have gone sooner!"

I'm not going to give you all the secrets he gave at the conference - after all I did pay for the info!  However, I will say that it is time for improvements in my business.

I learned that I am doing some things right - very right.  That's good!

One of those things is being on Active Rain!

But I also learned that I need to specifically do a few things differently in order to grow my business to the next level.  To that end, I'll be hiring an assistant soon in order to do the paperwork and million details that go with taking a listing and providing good customer service.

Okay...I will share just one thing we learned - sorry can't resist because this is great!

There are 5 areas in your life that you need to pay attention to:

Personal
Business
Finance
Family
Spiritual

If you are out of kilter in any ONE area, you'll be out of kilter in the other areas.  Of course, there's lots more to it, but it makes sense to me.  For example, if I'm fighting with my wife or PO'd at my teenager over something, then the other four areas are going to be impacted.  I'm very likely not going to be able to do very good business that day because my internal personal life has negative emotions that are unresolved.

I don't know if that makes sense to you, but it clicked with me.

All in all, it was a great conference and a ton of fun.

If you haven't gotten out of your office with your broker and other associates, do it!  You'll bond with one another, make great memories, learn something that will help you in your business and grow as an individual.

I have been thinking about hiring an assistant but just either dont know what to have them do or scared to let go of that control. Guess maybe I need an online transaction coordinator to start with or something.

I'm in the process of going through 100 Days of Greatness and love it.  I know I'll be taking other Buffini courses.  Glad you liked this one.
