Let's remember our fallen heroes on Memorial Day this Monday. Memorial Day weekend might be a great way to "kick off" the summer season, but let's remember why we enjoy this weekend in the first place.
Memorial Day is a day to remember those brave men and women who have given their lives to defend our freedom. It's also a good time to show support for those who have been wounded while protecting our nation. These heroic men and women sacrificed their futures so that we as a nation might enjoy a and safer and stronger future.
So while celebrating and having fun this weekend, do take a bit of time to remember why we have an opportunity to enjoy a three-day weekend each May. Let's not forget the deeper meaning of the day.
