What are the most effective uses of Facebook for marketing and networking by real estate professionals?

Many RE/MAX International  agents use Facebook as part of their networking efforts. They add other agents to Facebook and sometimes add clients. They promote seminars on Facebook and join the RE/MAX International network as well as their geographic network.  

What advice would you offer to agents that wish to maximize their use of Facebook?
