Silent Saturday - Nature As Neighbors Celebrates a Blue Angel

By
Industry Observer with Nature As Neighbors

Nature as Neighbors Morning Rain on LeafWe think the drops of rain on the leaves of a Hosta plant is quite meditative. Hostas are a wonderful addition to shade gardens and we think the large varities make quite a statement. This one is called Blue Angel and it produces white, bell-shaped flowers on tall stems. We can't wait for ours to bloom.

Good morning, Debb and Bernie - the dew drops against the texture of the leaves combine to convey a certain freshness of a new day.  Enjoy your Saturday.

Meditative and peaceful. I am not familiar with the plant, but be sure to share photos when the blossoms arrive.

What a beautiful photograph and well written post. Hostas don't grow in my garden but when I had them in Northern Country, I'd make up stories to my children about fairies living underneath them and they would come out when the rain landed on their rooftops.

Those raindrops on Hostas are just beautiful! You are too!

Debb, had not heard of these plants before, but a neighbor had them, and they are a wonderful addition to the flower beds.

Debb- when we moved to Northern VA, we were introduced to Hostas and I've loved them ever since.  You're right, the drops of water on the leaves are very serene.

Hostas are some of my favorite plants. I have 4 different kinds and not one of them is a Blue Angel. Mine have a purple bloom.

I love hostas and shopping for shade plants, but gotta say out here On Golden Ranch I have many more sunny areas to choose from and it's opened up some new planting ideas. Just (finally) got to my bulbs from Costco. I might be a bit late! Lots of hard ground and grass that made my garden area an eyesore. Darn it.
