Because of the ActiveRain & Buffini & Co communities, I'm connected to agents in all 50 states and even Canada & Mexico! I have personal relationships with many of these agents from years of shared live trainings around the country, Meetups, one on one meetings, referrals & closed shared deals and most importantly; friendships. I also meet many online through our Active Rain Q&A and in my blog comments, as well as on the half dozen Buffini-based Facebook pages I participate in daily.
I was recently reading a post BY SHARON TARA: Why I DID NOT Choose My Friend To List My Home
Her experience in that story, about an agent that over extended their geographic service area, costing the client, is a reminder why I'm proud of my formal alliances. I've formed many relationships and alliances with other agents I trust and respect around Mainland USA, Hawaii, Canada and recently even Mexico. I draw from two main "groups within the groups"; stand out agents that create WOW! for their clients in Active Rain & my coaching community at Buffini & Company.
So, if I do not provide service "there" personally, I'm connected to great agents, "there" I can refer you to. When a client asks, " do you work there?" I say yes! Then I explain my connections, relationships and referral alliances I've created with these folks (you folks).

www.SoCalRealEstateConnection.com was created to provide local clients and out of area agents, referring clients to San Diego, with a way to connect to a group of like minded, Peak Producers that are professionally coached and local experts in their specific service areas. We actually meet as a group once per month to mastermind ideas with some other local agents and we occasionally have closed group meetings to grow our concept.
This way, the client (and referring agent) have the comfort of knowing we only accept work in the areas we're proficient in. It's been working great; we've all referred business to each other as well as many out of area/out of state agents that have been impressed with how we "assign" the right agent for the clients' needs; the clients win, while the referral agent looks good for enlisting our specialized services.
The 4 colors represent our 4 specialized areas, so when the client will work more than 50% out of our area, we refer them over to the expert for those areas...and sometimes we share!
