Could Bonita Springs Lure Spring Training Baseball? Absolutely! Will they (we)? Maybe.

Should this even be a consideration or is it remotely possible?

So what would it take? Before even having a public conversation on a huge undertaking like this a study would need to be performed to show what type of financial benefit our city would derive from such an enormous venture. Next, what would the cost be to not only bribe a major league team to come here but the costs to build a stadium and complex to house this team?  

Does our fine city even need the revenue or additional tourism and traffic that comes along with it? I think that all aspects of this weighed out by free thinking people who have the vision to not just look at next year but forsee our city in 10 years, 20 years and beyond would find that the upside for this could be huge.

Where could such a sports complex be built? There a couple of areas off Bonita Beach Rd and east of I75 that may be ideal for this ballpark.

There is always the possibility of also having a minor league team use the same complex for their home games. Should this be the case, think about all the additional revenue that would bring in after our tourist season ends? Not to mention all the additional jobs that would be need to be filled by locals.

In my humble and unsolicited opinion, this would be a total financial windfall for Bonita Springs and would pay offer for generations to come.

We could reap some of the many benefits our national pastime would bring to our area.
