Everyone knows a KNOW IT ALL

How many people out there know a KNOW IT ALL?

When I was younger and growing up there were always these individuals that knew everything about something. Any subject a person talked about was backed up by the KNOW IT ALL!

And my question would be! Where did these KNOW IT ALL people get their information? From their parents? Teachers? Books? And really how much of this information is total fact?

While my surfing at the ActiveRain network, posting material, leaving comments and featuring my favorites to my groups at ActiveRain I run into a few comments from a KNOW IT ALL ...

And every once and a while I will actually receive a comment from a KNOW IT ALL ;o(

And some of these comments from a KNOW IT ALL sound rude if you read their comment several times.

Personally I think some KNOW IT ALL people are insecure, don't like what they see in the mirror or possibly lead a miserable life.

 

So for any KNOW IT ALL people out there, please don't stop by my posts to comment, I find you quite irritating ;o/

VB, this post made me laugh because "when I was young", let's say five-ish, almost every question I heard was answered with "I KNOW". It wasn't until maybe 8 or 9 years later I realized I didn't. Thanks for making me laugh Mr. Know-It-All.

I don't mind people sharing information with me and I am a "trust but verify" kind of person.  I check the information.  The kind of person I get aggravated with isn't a know it all, but a one up you kind of person.  You know the kind where you tell about something that happened to you and it happened to them too only it was worse or better (depending upon the thing that happened).

One AR KNOW IT ALL comes immediately to my mind in reading this. I ignore and do not comment.  Rude, is an understatement.

People like that in real life drive me nuts. It is so difficult to have a conversation with them since they already "know everything". Even if I do know something about what a person is telling me, it is polite to ask questions and comment rather than just stating that you know all about it. I think some people just have very poor communication skills (not that mine are perfect, but I don't claim them to be!). 

How's the job going VB?

VB, Folks who think they know evrything are as you said insecure and think they have to impress folks with their vast knowledge. This knowledge is usually very thinn and based little on facts.
