Austin’s “Keep Austin Weird” slogan will be celebrated with the ultimate toast to Austin on June 25th, 2016! It’s that time again for the Austin Weird Fest & 5K held at the Veteran’s Pocket Park and American Legions grounds.
From 3pm-10pm expect weirdness everywhere! The 5K is noted for being the slowest on the planet and is for pure entertainment with 15 outrageous stops all around Lady Bird Lake!
Are you ready to get weird? Then get creative and don yourself in the strangest, wildest most outrageous costume! Place a photo on your Facebook page and the one with the most likes will receive…drum roll please…a full year supply of Amy’s Iice Creams!
There will be live music, good eats and plenty of weird Austin attractions. Remember the live bands are local and 2016 band line up is awesome:
The Fest would not be complete without the Austin Weird Sideshows. Bizarre, totally bizarre!
The beneficiary of the Austin Weird Fest and 5K is the Capital Area Food Bank. For every pass sold a $1 is donated; which will bring in a healthy piece of $$$.
“Keep Austin Weird” is a way of life and the Weird Fest & 5K is just one of many ways this slogan is perpetuated. Embracing all of Austin weirdisms is what true Austinities do.
