REALTOR FACTS....Are these true for you?

39% of REALTORS own at least one residential property other than their primary residence.
13% own three or more
17% of REALTORS own at least one vacation home.
11% of REALTORS own at least one commercial property.

I read these brief "facts" this morning, and am just wondering if they hold true to our Active Rain community. I'm working to get into the 17% for the vacation homes! For those that own other residential properties other than primary residence, do you manage your own rentals, or do you have a company do that for you?

Krista, we currently don't own any "extracirricular" properties, however, like you are striving towards our first rental, then vacation prop for sure! We have just added and property management team in our office at KW, Puyallup and it seems to me the numbers add up to have them manage your rentals. Just like the KW models suggest, pay an expert to do their job. Besides they keep the property vacancy low as well as being there to be the "bad guy" when something does come up.

Anyway, good luck in the future! Oh by the way, if you happen to have a cross sale or any interaction with a Prestige Realtor by the name of Andrea Mullins, I've almost got her coming to KW, I could use a push from someone good there! Thanks! :)

I have in the past held up to 3 properties at once.....all residential. I too look to get the vacation/second home as my next real estate purchase.....

I handled all on my own.....

Hi Krista, 3 out of 4, I do not own a Vacation home. I bet that one is the wild card maybe because I sell them.
