COUNTRYWIDE SHORT SALE DEPARTMENT

Ok, Countrywide as gone thru a whole new cleaning out and revamping of their short sales department.  I called to day to get an update on the seemingly never ending contract for short sale and I actually got a very nice woman on the phone by the name of Sandra who was very informative!  Good Golly! THis was nice for a change!!

All my documents are in, the BPO is back and we have been in limbo for over 2 weeks now. (oops sorry "review") She *meaning Sandra*  said she was sending off an "URGENT" email on this file to be assigned to a negotiator and that the buyer was starting to get cold feet!  WOW!!!  Let's see if this pans out by the end of the week.  HANG OUT THE FLAG...WE MAY BE HEADING DOWN THE HOME STRETCH.  BTW ... we had a negotiator 3 wks ago but the file was yanked from his cold little hands~~~

6 Comments on COUNTRYWIDE SHORT SALES 4/29/08 THINK THEY ARE GETTING BETTER ORGANIZED?

If they are getting better, I would hate to see how bad they were in the past. im 4 week into helping a Seller with a Short Sale and they seem like they are lost everytime I call on the file.

It's good to hear that other people are seeing an improvement, I've yet to see it out here unfortunately.  I wonder if anyone else has noticed the improvement?

Countrywide has the worst customer service dept as it relates to shortsales. The account managers as they are called are not trained on the process of short sales. Each person has a different twist on shortsale timeframes. Their computers are not updated daily on the appraisals or if negotiators have been assigned or not. If they don't know what to do they will put you on hold and disconnect. I will be reporting these incidents to channel 7 news. I want to nation to know that countrywide who was bought by Bof A whom also owns Landsafe is developing a monopoly on the realestate industry and we as realestate professionals are at their mercy.

One positive thing I have to say about Countrywide is that they were able to postpone the house going to auction HOURS before the sale.... a mere three hours before.  Talk about looking like a miracle worker to your clients.....  So, if you have an offer come in the 11th hour, you can get them to get the house out of the auction.  That offer bought us one more month to try to sell house.

Countrywide has so many problems right now that is just one of the bigger ones.
