If It's Not In Your Calendar, It Doesn't Exist!
This is one rule our team lives by!!
It's so important to time block our calendars for business and personal use. Our team gets a bit busy at times and we find ourselves scheduling appointments and follow ups for each other. You want to make sure that you put in your calendars times that you are not available for appointments. It's also important for your team to follow what is in your calendar. Following a solid calendar can actually free up some of your time as it will keep you on track better.
Whether you are on a team or on your own, it's still important to follow this rule. So often we don't follow our calendars and either run ourselves to the ground or find ourselves missing appointments. As an agent you do not want either of those.
Here's a few tips:
- Keep your calendar neat
- Mark events that are optional. Put (Optional) in parentheses so your team knows that if something important comes up they are allowed to schedule you an appointment during that time slot
- Include personal time in your calendar
- Include drive time in your calendar
- Mark out of town time in your calendar
- Include notes and addresses in your calendar
- Review your calendar at the end of each day for the next day
Hope this helps someone get more organized! Have fun!
