I am not going back too far, this was Monday on Memorial Day. A fine day it was. The temp was just right and we went for a long walk and just checked the beach out. I really enjoyed myself and when we were walking I bumped into an old friend I had not seen in many years. He was also out for a stroll and we hugged each other. It is a small word, this saying is so true.
What I really like about this picture is the guy kicking back to the right of the sign so relaxing Evanston is so nice at the lake front and the Clark Square is one of my favorite beach parks. People were out and really enjoying themselves, me included
This is a shot at the beach and it was really nice Monday. 70 degrees and almost no breeze. A near perfect day to be out. I think we walked about four miles of Evanston IL paradise. Here is the scene
This photo says it all. Sun, deep blue sky's, a calm lake front and people enjoying Evanston IL. Not too crowded and very peaceful. I really enjoyed this Memorial Day 2016 and I am thankful for how I got it. People have made sacrifices and I am thankful they are brave and have the guts to give up so much. Don't ever forget this. You and I have this because someone defended us. Yes we all complain about taxes, gas prices, who is the next president, what is for dinner, it is your turn to walk the dog and don't forget to put the toilet seat down. All this and I am free and in love with Evanston IL USA. Please give me many more Memorial Days like 2016 was. I won't forget. Lastly, I want to tell you what I do not like about Memorial Day. It is that ever year Labor day comes around so fast, even faster than the year before.
