Dutchess County million dollar home sales

Comparing  the first quarter report for Dutchess County million dollar home sales, it was noted for the same period of 2015 and 2016 there were 4 sales.

As you will see from the chart,  the homes sold in 2016 were more expensive although the average size was smaller than that of 2015.

One number which stood out was the days on market.  The 2016 days on market was more than twice that of 2015.

The sales occured in three Dutchess County town, Amenia, Dover and Washington.

Lots of new inventory to the  market, see the towns represented.

Based on the data, the number of sales need to be much higher in the next three quarters to address the inventory.

I never realize that Dutchess County had so many million dollar homes or even thought about the million-dollar homes in Dutchess County

Laura we have many million dollar homes, many just on the banks of the Hudson River and various towns.


Many entertainers, and  execs.  have beautiful second homes in the beatiful Mid Hudson Valley.

Jennifer homes in this price range do take longer to sell around here, but why do you think the DOM increased that much?

George yes they do remain on the market longer.  The DOM could have been longer because the prices were higher in 2016.  Just an assumption :)
