A Look Back in Time 10 a.m., Saturdays, June 4 and 18 Wilderness Gardens Preserve 14209 Highway 76, Pala, CA 92059 Join a ranger for an easy/moderate 1.5-mile interpretive walk through Wilderness Gardens Preserve. Learn about the local geography, flora and fauna, and historic highlights that help explain what life was like for the region's early settlers. The walk concludes with a visit to the museum. Night Hike 8 p.m., Saturday, June 18 Goodan Ranch/Sycamore Canyon 16281 Sycamore Canyon Road, Poway, CA 92061 Nature comes alive at night! Join park staff for an enlightening hike to learn about the different animals you can encounter at the preserve once the sun sets: bats, snakes, coyotes, tarantulas and more! Space is limited to 25 (call ahead for reservations). Please dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Inclement weather will cancel this event. Full Moon Yoga 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 20 Waterfront Park 1600 Pacific Hwy., San Diego, CA 92101 Full Moon Yoga is open to all levels. It’s an opportunity to pause, check in with yourself, and reconnect with the world around you under a glowing moon and a blanket of stars. Dress in layers and bring your own yoga mat, towel and props. There is a $7 drop-in fee. For more information, call the park at 619-232-7275. |
Animals! Workshop 2 p.m., Saturday, June 25 Dos Picos County Park 17953 Dos Picos Road, Ramona, CA 92065 During this fun and educational workshop, park staff will share information on local animals like bobcats, barn owls and coyotes.
