On the same day of The Kite Surfers - Mokuleia Beach on the North Shore of Oahu we stopped by Dillingham Airfield on the North Shore of Oahu (Honolulu County) to see if there were any skydivers or sailplanes taking off or landing.
Dillingham Airfield was fully utilized during World War II. Over the years it was an Army Air Field and an Air Force Air Field and finally closed but used for civil use in the 1970's.
In a joint agreement with the military and the State of Hawaii it continued civil use and in the late 1990's until present there are the skydiving and sailplane rides. The gliders and many private aircraft are based here as well.
Well, here's a video I put together with skydivers we caught in action. What a treat!

Just one question comes to mind...have Youtried this sky-diving /or sky-sailing??? ??? Let me know. I wonder how it feels from "up there" as opposed to safely watching from the ground...
