How to Write a Real Estate Blog

Myth: “Writing Real Estate blogs is time consuming, difficult, and doesn’t work anyway.”

Fact: Consistently writing real estate blogs is quick, easy and profitable.

Writing Real Estate blogs is as easy as 1-2-3. Here, I will show you step-by-step, just how easy it is.

Always make sure your blogs have the following:

  •  You should post 1-6 times a month. Realistically about 2-3 times a month as a bare minimum. But never less than 1 or more than 6, because the SEO value is diminished.
  • You want 400-1,000 words per post. This is the bare minimum. Never post less than 400 words, again SEO won’t pick it up. And more than 1,000 it starts to be too long and people won’t read it. That being said, from a strictly SEO value standpoint, an average of 2,100 words is better.
  • It needs to be relevance to your topic, industry, and to you.
  •  Always include videos in the blog post when possible.
  •  Have a comments feature. Even if people don’t use it you always want there to be an opportunity for engagement on your blog.
  • Make sure your blog is responsive. This meaning that it looks good on all devices; tablet, PC, and mobile devices. 75% of searching the internet is now on mobile devices.
  •  The site needs to be fast loading, clean, and easy to read.

Your site should include Key Words:

  •  Include the key words in the title, first sentence, and throughout the blog.
  • Density between .05-.075%, ex. If blog is 1,000 words, the key word should be mentioned 5-7.5 times in the blog.
  • Key words give you more SEO points, so your page ranks higher in the search engines.

IT’S ALL ABOUT SEO!!!

Content is as easy as 1-2-3

1. Gather Ideas

Look at Easy Agent Pro, Keeping Current Matters, and Zillow Questions. Easy Agent Pro and Keeping Current Matters are especially great places to get blog ideas. Just remember you have to repurpose it and make it your own. Never use their posts word for word. You can use Zillow Questions to see what people are talking about and use that to create your blogs.

2. Write bullet points!

While looking at the blog posts on either Easy Agent Pro or Keeping Current Matters, write 1-2 bullet points per paragraph. Remember to keep them short, this will make it easier to record your video with.

3. Record your video

Keep your videos simple but high quality. In the video you want to explain and elaborate on each of the bullet points you wrote down in Step #2.

Now, simply give your assistant the video and ask them rewrite what you said in the video in your own words. This will be your blog post. Now you have a perfect blog post and a video to go with it.  Real estate blogs are super easy and they are great for SEO and you can get “free” leads from them. Make sure you are consistent with posting great content, and your blog posts will be a hit!
