In order to use blogging as a tool to build your business, you may want to try give an advice or talk about parts of real estate that you deem yourself an expert in.  Above all have fun with it.

For starters, you can upload your picture or a picture of your choice. To do this you must have the picture on your hard drive. Then on your AR profile page to upload go to the Browse button to find it on your computer and click upload.

You need to pick a topic. Maybe its about your town, neighborhood, points of interest in your area, local little league sports events. These are all items that will promote you in your local market that will translate into business. I received my first client after 3 month of blogging here.

I agree with david, get pic of yourself and set up your profile. then I would recommend to spend time browsing and reading other blogs. after a while it will probably start to flow for you.

good luck

Read several bogs .. go to the featured bolgs section and you will quickly pick up on what makes a great blog. For me as a reader .. new fresh information written cleanly briefly and honestly. Teach me something and I will learn

Tracy - to echo what David said, start out with the "behind the scenes" stuff.  Think about what your readers will see when they visit your blog.  It looks like you've already started filling out your profile - pick one or two social networks (I like LinkedIN & FaceBook) and just duplicate your profile content on those sites, then link them to your blog.  Upload a photo on each one.  Then, start blogging.  Maybe in your first blog you can just talk about how great Lake Wylie is.  Second blog- talk about community amenities.  Third blog, types of homes and pictures of the neighborhoods.  Before you know it - you'll have more ideas than you can blog about!

I have done hundreds of blogs for my business.  You can view mine on Active Rain or other sites that I use.  Please follow links to my Profile and you can view all the websites that I use and how I put my blogs together.

If these seem to interest you, maybe I can help you in this area.  I am always more than will to help others succeed.
