Soak It Off
©by Patricia for Wordless Wed 6/15/16
Patricia, as a child, I've been to many Turkish baths and did not like them back then but I would love to soak away in one of those tubs any day now.
My jetted tub is similar to yours which I don't use at all except to clean it.

Joanna Cohlan - the only bath house I've been to was one in Japan. My daughter took me there when I visited her when she lived there. To tell the truth, I was mortified because all the women shared the same bath water and I was freaking out. My daughter kept telling me to stop it because I was making all the Japanese women feel uncomfortable. Because she could speak and understand their language, she said I was embarrassing her because of what the women were saying about me.
I'll accept a private luxurious bath any day over a group bath any time! The only time I jumped in the tub with other females is when I was a kid and my mother let me share a bath with my sister and she dumped the tub with our rubber toys and bubbles too. Now that was fun for me!!!
Beth Atalay - I would love to hear more about your experience growing up in Turkey. I've never been to that country; nor do I know anything about the culture.
So you have a boat in your Master Bath too? I stopped using it very quickly and it's such a pain to clean! It's the least favorite thing to do on cleaning day! If I could hire a cleaning lady, I'd give her that job!

Patricia Feager, I do not like cleaning mine at all but must be done, the crazy thing is, it never gets used.
Would love to tell you all about my experience growing up in Turkey, hope one day in person!
Patricia,
Love the picture and the feelings and memories that you engendered from the members here. A bath is very nice. A

Awe... thanks Alexandra! I enjoyed the comments and hearing about other people's memories too!
It's kind of odd for me to think how lucky I was growing up as a kid having a claw foot bath tub; then the luxury of having a house with two bathrooms, one shower/tub; the other separate shower and tub. New construction here is building a lot of homes without any tubs, just spa like showers with multiple shower heads. Hearing about other people's experiences regarding the tub is very interesting!!!
Kristin Johnston, Waukesha County Realtor 414-254-6647 - unfortunately I would have been doing something unethical if I was in that tub. It was inside a house built in 1908 that I was showing to clients. But I did soak up a lot of memories!!!
Have a great day!
Noah Seidenberg - I love those claw foot tubs too! But I don't think I could live without my shower!
Enjoy your day!
We see tubs like that at some of the B&Bs along the coast, not so much in houses (except some of the Victorians here in SF)

Bubbles, a few candles and a glass of something delightful is all I need to make the best of this setting!

Geez that looks inviting! I was sick for weeks and decided to use our jacuzzi tub for the first time since we moved here and wouldn't you know, the damned drain wouldn't close so I am sitting in water that was only about 2" deep! Talk about a bummer....

I never take baths, but perhaps I should every once in a while, I am sure it is very relaxing to soak in the tub!

Patricia, oh how I would love to soak in that gorgeous tub. I can't remember the last time I took a bath. My master bath just has a shower. I should make time to enjoy a bath here and there. The water is so relaxing!

There are some days that the best course of action is to soak the day off.
Good luck and success.

Patricia we had a tub like that in one of the first apartments we lived in when my family came to the US. Brings back memories.
