New York & Feng Shui: Blending the Two Together by Feng Shui Long Island, New York

New York & Feng Shui:  Blending the Two Together

I always wonder if you took a random group of New Yorkers' and asked how many believed in Feng Shui what the percentage would be.  I would love to do one of those polls where you just choose random people and get their thoughts and ideas of New York Feng Shui.

As a Feng Shui Consultant for New York City you know you'll find me there often with my daughter who had been training for five years and I am now convinced knows as much as I do.  She is terrific at a consultation and no longer needs a senior Feng Shui Consultant with her; I'm very proud of her.  Besides my own on site training with her she's had some of the best teachers around and has attended many intensives.

And one of the best ways to teach is what we had the opportunity of years ago as well....on site Feng Shui consultations where you can SEE the homes, offices, businesses and corporations; you develop Feng Shui Eyes and Feng Shui Intuition and feel the Energy surrounding you.

New York Feng Shui is different from Long Island Feng Shui because the surrounding energy of any place you are doing is so different.  It may just be the energy of New York City that always has me wanting to go back.  Today I received a call from a client I had done who lives in Staten Island and is looking for work in New York City who feels the same way  about it's energy.

Which has nothing to do with this post, actually.  This post is just sharing a small piece of New York City on an absolutely beautiful day in one of it's many smaller parks I hadn't seen before.  It's called Madison Square Park but interestingly is nowhere near Madison Square Garden....it was, however, on the way to our destination....you'll have to come back another day to see where we were heading this time.

I hope you enjoy the pictures:

Feng Shui is interesting. I love your pictures of NY. I've been to all of those places and remember my visits there. You are so lucky to live in the area.

Carole....  you said, if you asked a bunch of New Yorkers if Feng Shui would work, what would that percentage be? I would first ask this.... how many of them would even know what Feng Shui is.

On another note.... is Madison Sq park separate from Central park?  I loved Central Park....

Carole, Beautiful picture... I feel and smell the spring only by looking at them. Can only imagine the trill to see them.

A personal thought. Do you think that can be possible for anybody to become a Feng Shui practitioner? How many years of training that takes?

Carole ~ Great pictures!  I am sad to say that as a native New Yorker I never heard of that park.  When I was a kid we always went to either Central Park or Prospect Park.  I'm glad I get to enjoy the others through your pictures.

Hi Carole,
Laura is her Mother's daughter and I'm sure an excellent consultant!

I always love your NY city photos, there's no place like it!

Your photo essay makes me want to go out for a leisurely stroll in a park. Very tempting, very tempting.

Carole,

What a beautiful park.....the more I read your posts about NYC, the more I'm tempted to just hop in my car and drive there!

Lovely photos...

Hi Carole,

What great pictures, I really would love to see or should I say experience New York, it is on my to do list!  I think that is wonderful that your daughter is a consultant also. I am sure she could not have had a better teacher/mentor than you!

Thanks for the pictures.

A sweet hello - I've not been around much, but will pop in once and again. Carole, your pictorial essay of New York just makes one want to be there. I agree with Jo-Anne, although she is much closer to drive than I - spring is a perfect time!

Joan, The weather is still flip flopping between warm and cold days but on the warm ones I'm out enjoying them!  The teaching is next week, thank  you for remembering.

Stacey, I love this City, there is always something to do.  I'm glad you get to visit here.

Jeff, They are pretty progressive here, I believe most would know now.  Twelve years ago no one and I mean NO one heard of it.  This is just a tiny park heading downtown--not at all near Central Park (which you know I love as well).

Hi Robert, It's nice to see you and thank you!

Arina, I do believe anyone can become a Feng Shui Practioner. You can actually take training courses online now (but theres no ENERGY) and I believe the best way to learn is to be in different places which our school provided.  The best courses are about a full year with a variety of different teachers so you get the entire spectrum of Feng Shui.

Kathy, It's only one of those little parks that dot New York City; I'm not sure I've been there before then but it was such a beautiful day everyone was OUT.

Cynthia, Laura is doing so well, she does Feng Shui Consultations in New Paltz when she's there and just became a Certified Personal Trainer.  And she's good!  I am proud of her.

Rosario, I make up for all the time indoors in the winter by getting out the rest of the year--and we had a beautiful stretch of lovely days.

Jo, Hop in, please do!  I can take you to the best places.  And you're right, NYC is an experience, you too would feel the energy that I always talk about...and love it!

Trace, It is a must see place, you too would love it I believe.  And I have to get to Canada, I think the only place I've been there is your side of Niagra Falls :(

Deborah, I know you haven't been around that much, you have been missed but I hope you're out enjoying some beautiful weather!  It is getting too nice to stay indoors.

Fernando, The village is just fine :)  DaNico's is still my favorite restaurant and there's always something going on down there.  It might be time for you to visit!

Joan, I think I enjoy my tours more then anyone.  If I could find a rent controlled apartment there I would move there (just for a year).  Then I'd need to be back closer to the Ocean.

Grace, I am very proud of her and she's doing multiple things--besides Feng Shui Consulting and personal training she's going for a double major.  Ah, I remember when I was young and had all that energy :)

Carole, another great walking tour with photos of New York. I'm going to have to get back there for a visit soon. I have relatives on Long Island.

Our weather has been a very cold Spring Carole! With a few nice days sprinkled in, we actually had several hours of snow one day last week!!! It's nice right now and looks like a change.
