ActiveRain Hosts "Carnival of Real Estate!"

ActiveRain is excited to be sponsoring the upcoming 89th edition of the "Carnival of Real Estate!"

What is a Blog Carnival?

Welcome everyone! The Carnival was started by Zillow.com on July 10, 2006 to help bring the real estate blogging community together to share valuable information on trends and news in the industry. It is open to everyone in the real estate industry and we mean everyone! (you can read about how it all got started HERE)

A Blog Carnival is a weekly summary of the best blogging posts that appeared in someone’s blog during the previous week.  A different blog hosts the carnival each week, so it brings together the best RE bloggers from around the globe.  Blog Carnivals are often referred to as another form of viral marketing because it provides participants another way to increase traffic and gain links to their blog.  Learn more about carnivals.

Oh how I love a good Carnival! Popcorn, cotton candy, Corn dogs, and a caramel apple!  That's motivation enough for me!  Then there's the clowns and the rides!  YEAH!!  LOL!~  :-))

I love this! I already subscribe to a couple of other blogs on here that compile what they feel are the top blogs from the past week and I always look forward to their list in case I missed them myself! I can't wait!

I look forward to reading he posts.  After over 500 posts, I am not sure I have any ideas left strong enough to make the list.

I haven't entered the real estate carnival in a long time. I keep forgetting:) Entering is a really good way to increase traffic to your blog. And winning is even better!! I've been fortunate to win twice and TLW has also won.

The Carnival of Real Estate is lots of fun and like Bryant said, a great way to increase traffic to your blog.  I've been fortunate to have been featured 5 or 6 times in the Carnival.  On another note, the Carnies have just pulled in to the local mall parking lot 1/2 mile from my home and are busy setting up the Ferris Wheel.

Well Guys...

There's so many excellent RE Blogger's out there...

They'd smoke me nowadays :)

Can't be a loser if I don't play the game :)

TLW...ROAR!

Winning a Carnival is a great way to get exposure to people who don't normally read the sites where you blog - and guess what? No charge for the extra exposure.

04/30/2008 08:39 AM by Sharon Simms St Pete Florida CRS CIPS CLHMS (RE/MAX Metro)

Wow, that should make it explode. I've been on the last few issues and it definitely drives some extra traffic to my site.

04/30/2008 12:34 PM by Lane Bailey - The REALTOR for Car People (Diamond Dwellings Realty)

This sounds fun!  I really do need to get in the groove of blogging more.  However, I'm looking forward to this as a source for great reading!  Hey, love that new skin!

04/30/2008 02:39 PM by Natalie Langford, Winchester, VA Real Estate (Realty Direct of Shenandoah Valley)

Thanks for the explanation...sounds like great fun!

04/30/2008 02:51 PM by Lake Norman Real Estate ~ Diane Aurit (RE/MAX at the Lake)

Um, so no fancy shoes if you win?  What's up with that?

I just posted one that I want to include but the Ferris Wheel is out of order right now. :(

My powers of memory ain't so great...Somebody remind me to submit when the carnie is up and running again!

05/02/2008 12:55 AM by Hemet Home Loan Guy, Joey Aszterbaum (Patrion Mortgage)

Am I daft? I keep clicking the link to submit a blog post and find a page saying the site is temporarily down.

05/02/2008 06:24 PM by Hemet Home Loan Guy, Joey Aszterbaum (Patrion Mortgage)

I've been trying to post a blog to this for two days, and the site has been down every time.  Any chance they'll extend this carnival to permit eager participants to actually post?  I have to show property this weekend, not sit around trying their website all day...  Could you post an update regarding this?

05/03/2008 06:13 AM by Margaret Woda, Maryland REALTOR (RE/MAX VISION)

Very cool.  Thanks for creating this.  Now I have to get creative with my blogging ..

05/03/2008 12:00 PM by Rob Arnold, Florida Realtor / Investor (Sand Dollar Realty Group, Inc.)

I wish more notice was given... still catching up from a very busy end of the month.

05/04/2008 08:20 PM by Donna Harris, ASP (Re/Max HiNet)

Alright...the blog carnival link is working again. I submitted, but it's after 3pm...let's hope they still consider the folks that couldn't get on there.
