Feelings of Snarkiness And My Letter From A Utah Real Estate Student
Yeah, I know what you may be thinking.
Some kind of weird prank by that Jacobs guy.
No, not this time.
Yesterday, I received a letter from a former Utah real estate student.
Scott Parrish wrote and informed me that he was attending online real estate school and was told to “Ask A Professional” about topics that were being studied. ActiveRain was his way of connecting with real estate practitioners. He was utilizing the Q&A section as part of his training.
He wrote “thank you for answering my questions. They actually helped me learn more about real estate and what to expect. You have given back to the real estate business…”. Scott went on to tell me he is now a licensed real estate agent in the state of Utah.
It was interesting that yesterday was the same day I read a featured post by Chris Ann Cleland about her thoughts on the Q&A section, AR rudeness and the general professionalism of this forum. I admit to feeling a little guilty because of my snarkiness at times so receiving that letter made me recognize that what we do here can make a difference.
I don’t recall answering any questions by Scott but I certainly appreciated his letter even if I wasn't the only one to receive it. You don’t always know who is reading your posts let alone your comments, questions or answers. I hope my online persona matches the real me. Genuine. Knowledgeable. Helpful. And yes, Snarky at times.
