Everyone loves a good story. In fact, as human beings we learn best when we hear a story we enjoy or can relate to.
Given that reality, I would like to start a series here in Active Rain and fill it with the stories of success.
So I'll start out with one of my favorites and if you want to share yours in the comments below. please do.
If you wish, please feel free to email your story to me at stevemsiegwalt@gmail.com and I will post them all at a later date.
So one of my favorites is about our dear friend Ali.
Ali is a single woman who has accomplished much in her life. When we came to her home, it was in a good state of repair but needed a little updating. My wife and I pitched in and helped her and we even got our teen aged boys involved in the process. After a week or so, the home was ready for the market.
We placed the home in Multiple listing and withing a week received an offer. Not sure what the exact details were but we, at the same time, began the search for her new "downsized" home.
We found her new home in less than a couple of days and put in a contract.
So here we were, ready to go.
What transpired next was nothing short of exciting! The new buyers were scheduled to close and, when funded, we were to close immediately on the new home.
Ali did not want to have anything to do with a lease back so, with her military training (and our strong backs) we rented a very large truck and loaded all her belongings, including a "Shrunk" aka a huge, incredibly heavy multi-piece entertainment, china, wet bar cabinet!
After loading, we drove the truck out to our property and there it sat for less than 24hours and we then took it to the new home and unloaded.
There were many other items we helped with including finding and brokering the sale of her 1965 Corvette to a collector in Denmark! We even handled the international inspection and arranged for shipping! (got a really cool picture from the new owner when it arrived in Denmark!).
This was one of those deals where we felt totally involved with our client as she not only was a dear friend but also someone who was fun to work with.
OK, whose next?
