Staging FAQ’s-Can Any Priced Home Be Staged?

Have you ever wondered if staging is right for your home?  staging faq's

We often are asked:

Isn’t staging just for luxury or higher end homes?

Many agents and sellers often assume that just because a home isn’t listed at $500,000+ or considered a luxury property, that it wouldn’t be worth staging.

The truth is that every home that is on the market, at any price point, can benefit from some amount of home staging.

Staging isn’t just about bringing in furniture and accessories and making the home look like a model home.

~ It’s about helping the seller see what they can do to improve the condition of the home and help their buyers see the value and possibilities of the home

~It’s helping the seller decide what items to edit and remove.

~It’s helping the seller see the importance of curb appeal.

~It’s showing the seller how to live in their home while it is on the market

Ask for our cost-effective Home Staging Consultation and receive a tailored just-for-you guide or plan to getting your property in “show-ready” condition.

Kathy,

I agree with you, and we were looking at the pictures of a $14 million dollar home recently, and noticed how much stuff could have been put away to create a better flow between the living room and the balcony.  It seemed like one had a maze to overcome...A

Often the smaller, less costly properties can benefit the most from staging. I've seen that over and over again with entry-level condos. I see how my buyers react, and see for which place they wish to write offers. Stage them all.

Absolutely, Kathy! Just like I professionally photograph any priced listing and market first-class. Why discriminate?

Hi Kathy -- if you believe staging works, why not use it regardless of price point. As Nina Hollander commented - why discriminate?   The level of staging can vary and sometimes much can be accomplished with a consultation.

Hi Kathy - Good before & after shots, and a clear example that staging benefits are available across the board to wise sellers.

I think that all homes should be staged, sometimes on the smaller homes though, the Seller's don't necessarily have the budget for staging though.

Oh Ron and Alexandra Seigel I've seen that as well. Sometimes sellers feel that just because a home has high end furnishings, it is staged.

Lottie Kendall you are exactly right about that.  I've seen the same as well.

That's why sellers should seek you!  Nina Hollander

You are exactly right Michael Jacobs In our worst years (2008-09) the homes that I consulted on had offers in 4-8 weeks as long as they were priced right.

Thank you Dick Greenberg The first set was from a home listed around $70K.

Brian England They do, however, have the ability to edit and clean!!!

Who said that a price tag determines whether a house should be staged? Every house can benefit because money does not mean taste and inexpensive can have lots of style and class!

You are right on point . . . . A home in any price range can be staged for a successful sale.

Good luck and success.

Kathy good point.  In fact in many cases a lower price home can actually need to be staged more so than a higher priced home.

Regardless of price or size. YES

Staged just means prepared for sale. It's cleaning and furniture placement and lighting and updating.

I've done consults for trailer park homes that were only listed for $30,000.
