I don’t know about you but I despised writing in my mileage for every. single. stop… It’s far more time consuming that it should have to be. And if you’re as busy as I am you don’t want to keep jotting down on a clipboard each address, time in and out, reason for the stop, who you’re with and the supporting evidence to prove the trips were for business. Thankfully, there is a solution I’ve found very useful and customizable for folks in any industry.
I’m certain some of you have heard of this iPhone or Android App already. And you’re using it just like I am and the other agents who I’ve shared it with. MileIQ has saved me from hours and hours of record keeping. It automatically keeps track of each stop and its address. All you have to do, at the end of your day, is categorize the trip for personal or business. Then edit the stop to include any passengers or additional information you’d like to add to it.
The best part is you can try it for free! So there’s nothing to lose if you don’t like it. I think it’s about 40 trips a month if you want to continue using the free version. For unlimited trips it’s a measly 60 bucks a year. And in most cases that’s a tax deduction, too. (check with your accountant/tax professional on that one)
Check it out, I think you’ll like it. J You’re welcome.
Semper, Jeremy
