The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, June 24 and Tuesday, June 28 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers. The market is on Webster Street and Haight Avenue and is open
rain or shine.
Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, June 25, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco.
Henry H. Meyers' Office
The Meyer’s House and Garden will be open on Saturday, June 25 at 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The gorgeous colonial revival was built in 1897 for the prominent Alameda architect, Henry H. Meyers. Mr. Meyers designed many building and churches, schools and the Posey Tube Portal of the Webster Tube. The Meyer’s House and Garden is located at 2021 Alameda Avenue in Alameda. This house is a must see for Alamedans to discover what living in Alameda in the early 20th Century was like. Free for members and for non-members there is $5.00 fee.
Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour features “Seaweed Science.” Learn about seaweed while churning ice cream. After ward, find out what’s new at the cove on Saturday, June 25, at 2:00 pm. Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.
Family Game Day at the Alameda Main Library on Saturday, June 25 at 2:00 pm. Come for board games and fun and its free for youth ages 8 and older. Parents/guardians must be present. Alameda Free Library is located at 1550 Oak Street. Please call 510-747-7713 for more information.
Vacationland Carnival and Bazaar on Saturday, June 25 at 3:00 to 9:00 pm at the Buddist Temple at 2325 Pacific Avenue. Come for Japanese food, arts and crafts, children’s games, bingo, raffle and more. Please go to www.btoa.org for more information.
Alameda Architectural Preservation Society’s 19th Annual Preservation Awards on Sunday, June 26 at 7:00 pm at the Alameda Point Theater, 2700 Saratoga Street in Alameda. The event will include entertainment, presentation of awards and refreshments. It is free to the public. Please call 510-479-6489 for information.
