I'd Like A Cincinnati Patio Home With Privacy

Privacy and patio home communities aren't always the best combination due to the nature of the small lots that Cincinnati patio homes are often built on.

But small lots don't necessarily mean that we can't find a patio home with some level of privacy.  Some of the more mature (and even newer) patio home communities may be built against a treeline.  For instance Heritage at Miami Bluffs offers some patio home sites for new construction with ample trees out back.  Combine that with a cul de sac lot position and you might be able to sit on your back deck and have no line of sight to your neighbors!  Now that said, those lots DO come with a lot premium!

And sometimes even with no trees at all, you can find some privacy if the homes are designed and set up just right.  The neighbor's home has no windows on your side, or only up high so there's no normal line of sight to your courtyard area.  Despite the homes being really close together, you can still have your own spot of privacy!  Drees Homes courtyard home collection is a prime example of this type of building that still protects the owner's privacy.

In other communities, there really is no hope for true privacy if you're outside.  Homes are often built with the backs facing each other across an open area, so those types won't have much in the way of privacy. 

Sometimes an open space by itself can give you what you need if that space is large enough.  For example some patio home communities such as Walden Ponds and Shaker Run have golf courses.  Other than the golfers, you're far enough away from everyone else that you can achieve that desired privacy.
