Spring in Texas is a beautiful time of the year.  Down in the San Antonio, TX area we usually have a mild Winter however, we're always more than ready for Winter to end and Spring to arrive.  As I drive the highways and byways of the Bexar, Kendall, Comal, and Guadalupe Counties showing homes to clients, I try to point out the different flowers that are blooming!  Especially the Blue Bonnets -- we know Spring has arrived when our beloved Blue Bonnets start peaking through the grasses along the highway medians and in the open fields.  They are followed by Indian Paintbrush, Indian Blanket, Lantana, Daisies, Verbena, Winecups and Thistles just to name a few.

I've been taking pictures of our beautiful April Wildflowers since the Texas Real Estate Group announced their April Wildflower Contest.  The show below includes pictures of flowers from Fredericksburg to San Antonio to Lockhart.  I couldn't resist including some of all of the areas.

Ceil, yes, I started taking pictures while Tom was here -- we took a day trip up to Fredericksburg and took pictures along the way.  Took the rest just outside of San Antonio on (IH-10 East) as we were driving to Lake Charles.  Glad you like the music...it is relaxing, isn't it?

Hey Judi - Stopped by to enjoy your pretty flowers. I didn't check my cell phone until awhile ago. I turned it off when we went for lunch Mother's Day and it was still in my purse turned off. I don't know why I even have that cell phone; I can't ever find it or it runs out of juice.

Don't forget Carl's blog-along tonite. I already left my refreshments. Well back to work, I'm putting all new screens in and what a job. I bought some solar screen; just finished our bedroom, washed all the curtains while I was at it. I need to go back to work to rest.

See ya later gal friend.

Hey Ceil, nope, I haven't been around the community much this weekend.  Was busy -- not taking pictures or chasing barbeque.  I was working.  Visited a client who closed earlier in the week to check on them and drop off their closing gift.  No, I didn't make them a basket -- gave them a nice gift certificate to buy something special for their new house along with 2 cute outfits for their 5 month old daughter.

Today, I was showing property to a client Don found for me.  Probably won't see me around much this week -- it's going to be busy.  Need to show a few more properties to today's client, have a final walk-thru, 2 closings, and then another client wants to look at properties next weekend.

You Go Girl - Get'em. We will miss you but "work comes first".

Maybe you can stop in tomorrow night for Carl's Blog-Along AR Block Party (he wants to add to the title). I told him I would remind everyone. I think he  is just going to have fruit and  summer type desserts. He has been worried since Liz sent him that picture that everyone may get too fat (ha, ha).

Take care and go to bed early; leave the blogging for another day. - Ceil

Liz, I've been busy closing on houses.  Had 3 of them, now, I'm finding houses for more clients to look at and hopefully buy.  I've been in and out commenting here on AR, but haven't had time to write anything.  I do have my Bar-Be-Que post drafted but that's as far as I've gotten with it.  Need to get to the bar-be-que place and get some good pictures.  Maybe this weekend we'll stop by for bar-be-que and I can take the pictures I need and finish it before the deadline.

We'll have to do lunch again next time you come up to New Braunfels to show or list another house. Carl is writing one of his reports and said to tell you hello. Are you and Don doing anything special for your B-Day? You need to write a blog and tell us all about it.

How about this wind? I don't remember that it has ever blown this hard for this long. Now we need some rain. Maybe we need to do a rain dance. Take Care, Ceil

Ceil, I'll drive up to New Braunfels to have lunch with you anytime -- I don't need to have an appointment up there.  I do still have my listing up there.  It's getting a good number of showings, now, if someone would buy it.  I'm sure my clients would like to be able to move to their new location.  :)  Such a cute house, just need the right buyer to see it.

We'll do something over the weekend.  I'm sure he has something special in mind.  I did receive a dozen roses,  beautiful b'day card and a b'day cake!!!

I don't remember ever having wind like this either.   ???

Tell Carl Hi -- love the flowers and teapot cake...thank you again!   :)

Judi,

First thing, when was the exact date?  Happy Birthday!!!!   If I calculate from the entry above, maybe June12th?  That is wonderful.

I love looking at the beautiful wildflowers.  I enjoyed this most of all while driving to College Station for 4 years while our daughter attended Texas A&M.  Yep, she's an Aggie.  Lots of money went to Texas. I feel I have a vested interest in your State.  Ha!  Hurry back.  MK and I will have to start planning again.

Derenda, the exact date is June 5th.  Born at St Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles, LA!!!

That's another thing we have in common -- one of my daughter's is an Aggie too!  In fact, she met her husband at A & M.

Yep, we're going back for a visit.  Start scheming planning!!!  Haven't set the exact date yet, but when we do, I'll email or call you so you and MK can start scheming planning.  :)

Judi...

I'm getting excited about seeing you and everyone next week.  So far not have any of the really bad side effects from my treatment so feel good too.  Always a plus :).  Are there any plans for a group BD gift for JC?  Also I need some help, we are coming to Austin from the lake, so I need a place to leave Rhett...any ideas?  Is there an inexpensive place close by the event I can rent for the day that accepts pets?

Got my camera ready...see you in a few days :).  L

Liz, I'm so glad you didn't have any of the really bad side affects from your treatment and that you're feeling so good!!!  :)   Please call me about Jason's B'day Party -- I need to talk to you about it and don't have your number at the Lake.

I don't know Austin very well -- just don't get up that way very often.  So I don't know where to leave Rhett.   I don't know if County Line will allow him there either.  Jason was just there finalizing details, I wish I'd known you were looking for a place for Rhett -- I could have asked him to check with the Manager of the Restaurant.

Looks like we're going to have around 60ish in attendance -- between AR Members, Agents from Jason's office and Jason & Pam's friends.  I'm looking forward to it too!!!   :)
