A Solstice Full Moon...Cedaredge CO Information and Picture

As regular readers of my blog know...I really love Cedaredge,CO. I've called it home since 1999. This small mountain town really has me hooked.

I also love taking pictures and sharing them on Active Rain. There are so many great photo opportunities in my area. The mountains, rivers and canyons are just that way.

They seem to have their own moods. From sunrises to sunsets and the all the hours of the days and nights in between, there is always something that stands out to me about Cedaredge. The Grand Mesa fills our skyline...not tall buildings.

I know we are few days away from the summer solstice, but I waited to share this picture so I could post it in Debbie Reynolds Serendipity Sunday group.

I took a series of full moon pictures from my patio. I wasn't even expecting to take pictures. The moon came up and I couldn't help myself. They might be a bit fuzzy, but you get the idea. It was an awesome night and an awesome moon. A few clouds make them a bit more interesting than if it was just the moon alone.

Hi, Jeff Dowler CRS ..give the moon some perspective. It helps. Otherwise the moon gets lost in the picture.

When you take pictures of the moon, give it some perspective like I did with the trees. That really helps. Then if you edit ( I try not to because I'm a purist that way ) edit in on the moon and leave the perspective there. It works really well for me. By the way I did crop these photos, but there was no other editing.
