Be Kind in The Rain (even to Utah students)

By

Be Kind in The Rain (even to Utah students), they are your future referral partners! I was very impressed today to receive this letter (below) from one of the "infamous Utah students". We seasoned agents and bloggers tend to get impatient with their repeated questions, I'm guilty of it too. But, I do my best to be kind, to be helpful and to answer their questions. Scott asked some great questions and I chose to answer them.

Now some of you will say "oh that's a canned letter", and it may very well be. But it still needed to be written and mailed; effort was involved. It's rare to receive personal correspondence through the mail in today's world; I think it's great that Scott Parrish took the time to mail me a thank you and share his good news! That shows character and all I can hope, is Scott, keep up that level of contact & care with your future clients and networking partners-including other real estate agents. I was flattered to receive this letter (below).

Jeff Dowler CRS is one of many of you in AR that comes to mind as someone who occasionally acts as our etiquette-conscience; reminding us about tone & temperament in out posts. I think it's great that Active Rain creates these connects for us when we use it with a little patience and kindness towards others.

I'll always to some degree be a "Mucci-style" sm@rta$$ in AR, I can't help my personality, but I also want to behave as a trusted adviser, a serious resource and be to be counted on by others, even Utah students, for competence and character.

Please welcome Scott Parrish  to real estate and to Active Rain! Well done Scott!

....Experience Isn't Expensive.... It's Priceless!

That is a nice letter to receive Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor and I know I read another Rainer's post of having received one too.  It seems that the Utah school has well mannered students  and we certainly wish them all well in their new career!

Thank you for sharing this nice letter from Scott. I'm glad to hear he has moved on to the real nuts and bolts of the business and wish him well. I'm glad to see he alwo was inspired to join AR. I'll stop by

Thank you also for the kind words. There are many here who exemplify courtesy, caring for fellow Rainers and others, sharing tips on etiquette, and more.

Jeff

I've seen a few thank you letters out there. Always nice to be kind and over the years same questions are always asked. Patience and more people can answer now.

I always seem to enjoy most of the different personalities that show themselves here on ActiveRain.  I also understand the importance of showing some degree of professionalism.

That's so nice! These students seek out the advice of seasoned professionals (perhaps because they have to) but are only doing so as part of the ladder on the way to success! We were all in their shoes at one time, and I would have been discouraged to come on AR and be treated badly for asking a question,
