We've all had those days.
Phone rings 8 times while you're in the shower. Client doesn't show up and doesn't call to cancel. An agent showing your listing locks the key in the house. Tank scan comes back positive. Your buyer gets denied a mortgage. Your listing doesn't appraise out. Your seller refuses to budge on a $20 item and the deal falls through. Inspector leaves water running in your listing and floods the basement. Add some random car problem and you've got the kind of day I'm talking about.
Perhaps a trip to the local watering hole on the way home is the way you handle these days. Maybe come home and vent to the spouse/cat/cactus. Possibly sulk in front of a tv dinner.
Or you could change what you focus on.
The phone ringing while you're in the shower means you've got business! Waiting for the no-show client gave you time to call your mother and tell her you love her. The keys locked in the house means you a) have a listing! and b) it's getting showings! The tank scan means you've got an opportunity to refer your environmental company. OK, even I can't come up with a positive spin on the stubborn seller and the flooded basement, but you see what I'm getting at?
Your life is good. If it were perfect, you wouldn't appreciate it anyway. You need snags in your life in order to see all of the blessings that surround you every day.
You can choose to focus on the snags or on the blessings. Choose wisely.
