My Parents' First House
I lived in this house in Daylesford Village (Berwyn, PA) for almost 9 years.
This is the original tear sheet from the MLS I discovered in a pile of family photos I have.
I looked up the house and there is now a second story, with 2267 SF, and 4/2/2. The value per Trulia, compared to the $19,000 when my parents were selling, is $509,000.
WOW! My have time changed! It is amazing to see prices of homes long ago!

Jeff Dowler CRS I still drive by the homes where I grew up...and marvel and the changes and then lack of changes to the homes. Always brings back great memories!
I have driven by some of my own homes, but never got back to this one even when visiting my parents two homes later. It would be a shock!
We bought our first house in San Carlos in 1972--for $31,750.00. Neighbors told us we overpaid. Today that house would sell for around $1,000,000.
Of course, we made 10K or 12K -- a year!

It's more interesting that back then people would make a commitment on that 1 photo in the listing book. A far cry from what needs to be done to promote a listing today

Very astute comment. Maybe easier then? Or maybe not. People didn't need to see all the photos of a house to decide to go see it. Of course they didn't have a choice, either.
