New Orleans Real Estate - Home Buying Guide - Part 3 - Mortgage & Insurance

This is Part 3 of my exclusive New Orleans Real Estate Home Buying Guide.

Ok! Now that you are working with a buyers agent, it is time to start your search for mortgages and insurance. While this can really be completed in conjunction with the next step (Part 4 - Finding a house), I recommend starting this process as soon as possible. I have a few reasons that we will discuss as to why I think that you should get started on this part quickly.

The first reason is that we are in a very tricky banking situation right now. With the sub-prime problems have come a slew of new difficulties that buyers face when trying to obtain a loan. The sooner you begin the loan process, the sooner you find out what you are facing and are better prepared when you find real estate you want to buy.
