Hello appraisers et al  - when pigs fly

I just wanted to remind everyone in the appraisal and lending world that today is the last day that these links will be available for your criticle input:

Fannie Mae

Freddie Mac

There are many other HVCC petition links out there, too!  Google.

If you're in the dark on what I am speaking of, please read the HVCC code of conduct carefully.  It will affect you.

I've sent in mine through ala mode. I hope more people respond. Thanks Sara for the reminder.

Sara - I'm aware of this as well.  I've already made my voice heard...

Yup, did it...now we can only wait and see and feel that we are at their mercy....aarrgghh

Gynell - I signed everything I could find... if my vote counts, perhaps it counts 5x as much in 5 different places... :-)

Jason - Glad to hear it!  I know that the HVCC info has been plastered all over the place, but as this is the LAST DAY to submit, I thought I'd just through a little reminder out there.

Patrice - You snuck a comment in there - Thanks, you always seem to be on top of the topics and whatnot.

Sara-  Sent my 2 cents in to everyone I could think of, including the NY AG, who by the way does not represent must of us! Lets just hope and pray that this is not the day the appraisal bussiness died.

I wish all of us in the appraisal field Good Luck, no matter which way you feel about HVCC.

Thanx for the good luck Michael, I agree, we all need some right now...I am getting my realtors license to do some foreclosure work to help subsidize the income...I am a survivor...

Michael - Absolutely, best regards to us all

Patrice - It's certainly not a bad idea to have a back-up plan. Let us know how that goes.

Hi Sara, I'm still trying to figure out who this HVCC is going to affect, or should I say affect the most?  I also wonder what the motivation has been for a la mode to get so involved?  If New York and the other parties that started this, were upset about the Countrywide's, and AMC's, than wouldn't this be a good thing for the small independent Appraiser?  Thanks for the link, I've printed it out, and will see if I can make any sense of it.  I'd really appreciate knowing your opinion on it.

I have sent comments to FNMA, FHLMC, NY AG, OFHEO, and ALL my legislators -state & federal.

Time will tell how this plays out - I am optimistic.

Hi Gregg - Still to this date, I think there are too many unanswered questions and open ended speculations regarding the HVCC rules.  My theory is that a la mode is afraid of losing big dollars with their web site sales.  Why would an appraiser pay $500 plus per year on a web site when orders are just fed to him or her through a roster?

Kenneth - I could have imagined you'd be on top of things :-)

Hello Adam - No worries... the links for Freddie and Fannie are no longer active, but you can always use the google link to find updates on the HVCC.

Hey Sara- I wonder if Fannie & Freddie will still be around in the same form, by the time HVCC is supposed to take effect? If ever!! I still say the NY AG was looking for some face time.

PS. I heard you're the first appraiser in your area, for the company I called you on.

Hello Michael -

First and foremost, thank you so much for the referral!

I'm keeping an eye out for new updates and invite anyone that knows of any changes to post it either here or on their own separate blog.  I have yet to hear news.  I never thought I'd say this, but it feels like a union isn't a bad idea after all...
