Willie the Labradoodle and I live in an old place that just celebrated its 100th birthday. It's an end row house, and being at the end, it' has windows on three sides and gets wonderful sunlight. And it's got a redbud tree in the front yard that is amazing during end of April and beginning of May.
The neighborhood is a few miles above the White House, between 16th Street NW and a national park that's full of deer, raccoons, foxes and an occasional coyote. We met this young lady yesterday on Willie's walk, and she's not that much bigger than the dog! While the deer are beautiful, they are rather pesky for the neighborhood gardeners.
Rock Creek Park is beautiful throughout the year, and it's always a perfect place for a walk with a camera. I took the picture below on a walk last winter
So this is where I've lived for the past three decades. The walk score is low, but the walk score people don't give points for being able to hike or to ride a bike trail just a few blocks from a major city traffic artery.
And thank you to Debby Laity for coming up with this challenge idea. It's been fun to visit the homes of favorite ActiveRain bloggers.
