Hopefully, you were able to celebrate the birthday of this great country over this past weekend!
In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, there were many parades, festivals, and opportunities to watch fireworks (some of them even set to music). Many of the cities in the Metroplex hosted events over multiple days, so that people had an opportunity to participate either in the city where they live, or one nearby. There was a great 4th of July celebration in Washington DC that was filmed and played by PBS too, if you were not able to get out and celebrate in person - it would be a great show to watch. Many broadway perfomers were present singing patriotic music to the crowd there.
Please remember to thank the military service men and women for their service to our country - and for helping to preserve the freedom that we have in this great nation. Many of them are not able to spend the holiday with their families and friends, because duty calls and they are working even today to help keep our country great. From sea to shining sea, we should honor those that serve now, or have served in the past.
