Seller Tip of The Week
Seller's are you looking for good solid information on selling your homes? This is my Seller Tip of the Week for Selling a Home In Corpus Christi. This is one tip that no one really thinks about, until it's too late.
Always check your fireplace flap, and make sure it is closed. This is one thing you don't think about as you are doing all of your cleaning, staging, decluttering, painting etc. I am sure you are wondering why this would be considered an important tip. See the story below..................it could be you - but it won't be because you are reading Brenda J. Andrew's Seller Tip of the Week when Selling a Home in Corpus Christi.
I was out showing property last week and things were going fine. We went to several vacant homes, then finally to one that was occupied. As I opened the door, and called out ......."Realtor," I started walking in the front door. All of a sudden, a bird comes flying our direction. I didn't know if this bird belonged to the sellers or not, but I was hurrying to close the door right in the buyers face! I was able to get the buyers inside as the bird flew around the kitchen and the buyers raced upstairs. As the buyers were literally almost running up the stairs - to get out of the birds way, I called the listing agent. Imagine my suprise when I found out the owners did not own a bird. After a closer look, I realized it was a wild bird flying around the house. Luckily, for the sellers sake, it did not break anything & It was also lucky for us as well, no bites or damage. I was able to save the day & open the back door so it could fly out! Whew!!
What an experience, and not the first impression you want for a buyer seeing your home! Close the flap!!
