Kimo,

Mangoes must be plentiful this season.  Trader Joes has had a consistent mango campaign for the last 3 months.  We have stayed at the Surfrider, and I think they have remodeled it since we have been there...I love the banyan trees there. A

As a bonified mango lover, I can only wish to be able to be part of something like "Mangoes at The Moana."  Sounds like a wonderful event, Kimo!

Aloha Belinda Spillman, it's a great opportunity to accumulate fresh ideas in preparing this popular fruit, in Hawaii. A hui hou!

Aloha Myrl Jeffcoat, when inundated with mangoes, we would always default to pickling them, I wish Ithis event was around when I had two mango trees producing on alternating years.

Aloha RnA, your typical mango tree can produce hundreds of mangoes in a season so it is quite common to feel overwhelmed by mangoes during the harvest. Figuring out new ways to prepare them is always interesting. The Moana is a grand old lady, a nod to how things once were and will never be again.

Aloha Jennifer Mackay, if you enjoy the sweet tropical taste of mango you will be astounded by the creativity used in its preparation. It's a fun location for a tasting event, thanks for visiting.

Aloha Harry, it is a great place to conduct the business of relaxing and tasting mangoes!

Aloha Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI, I'm sure they mix a mean mango margarita amongst other concoctions, mahalo for the comment!

Kimo Stowell , when I lived on Waikiki, attending UHM, I would often take my studies to one of the beachfront hotels.  I remember from my view being able to watch the nightly Hawaiian Luau's from the Moana veranda. It was a royal treat.

The Mangoes at the Moana sounds like a fun and relaxing treat.  Please enjoy it for all of us unable to get there.
